Not everyone…there are those who can fight and you would never know them cause they aren’t interested in becoming mythic warriors.
And it isn’t limited to kung fu people wanting to be “mythic warriors.” People in other styles as well.

    Much Respect Sifu Albright.
I saw some definite Hung Kuen moves in there.

Always look forward to seeing your videos.

Do you have any other SLP vids from Hawaii by chance? : )

    Peace.

  • Bedstysifu:

I lost a lot of films here and there. I don’t think I have anymore of the old SLP films.

  • ShyningStar1:

    is this wushu bro ?

  • Bedstysifu:

Not mordern wushu as it is known today. This is the traditional Chinese martial art. Although the term wushu can refer to martial arts in general, we don’t usually call the old styles by that name.

  • Bedstysifu:

Way before Hanby. But I don’t have any more of Sifu Kong’s material on film. My bio is on my website.

  • BaiLong45:

Always enjoy these clips from back in the day. Not only a great show of the application of techniques and moves, but it’s just done so smoothly and effortlessly.

  • LawDescendant:

Much respect to my Grandmaster Sifu Albright.Real technique and real Kung Fu representing the Law Clan!!!.

  • okamishinja:

  • Bedstysifu:

  • nilfmonkey:

    alright! nice!

An awesome display of the beauty and effectiveness of Shou Shu! Is there a shifu anywhere in the Portland/Vancouver area willing to teach? While there are many martial arts and combat martial arts and schools out there, Shou Shu (the Seven fighting beasts) is the only combat martial art I wish to resume studying. Da Shifu Moore Sr. was an incredible teacher. If there is a school or shifu willing to teach privately in the Portland/Vancouver area, I would very much like to connect with them.

  • monkfg:

Wow, the best application of Kung Fu I have seen so far.

  • ricardomoonreading:

wow…acting really “master” like with hand behind and blocking with one.

Looks cool but was it really necessary? Or is it more of training technique…like if you were attacked with hands behind or only one hand available kind of thing?

  • Bedstysifu:

This is the way I fought for many years. It is the way my sifu fought as well. The more fighting you do the better your timing is and I fought a lot back in the day.

  • dcorelone:

I was wondering,WHEN does one become a “Sifu”?
    after 5 years,or 10 years,or whenever the sifu says “Ok,youre a sifu now.”
(I’m not being sarcastic,…I honestly dont know)

  • Bedstysifu:

There is no time frame.. Sifu means teacher. Thats all. If you have a student he will call you his sifu. It is really not for people other than your own students to call you a sifu. But people have forgotten this these days and use the term losely. Other terms like Grandmaster were created by Amercians in the 1960′s. But this has been forgotten as well. It is not a traditional Asian term. However, Usually your teacher promotes you to Sifu in order to give permission to teach him or her system.

  • Dactylus:

Beautiful. That is all I have to say.

  • BaiLong45:

Hey Sifu, watching this clip again, I was just wondering, what was the technique you used towards the end, where your student tried to grapple with you? I barely noticed what you did. Furthermore, may I ask what are some of your thoughts on grappling, BJJ, and MMA in general? Thank you for any information you might be able to provide.

  • Bedstysifu:

pressure points under the armpit. My focus is on street fighting not sport. there is not enough space in this format for my opinions on todays sport martial arts. But everything is good when used in the right place.

  • SQNBM:

    “Sifu means teacher”
    Don’t forget the father part
Bak Mei Pai since 1984,Bai Shi in 88.
My Sifu’s mother was a Hung ga Kuen
    player.Thanks for this post.

  • wurblewurble:

Why would you spread your arms to your sides when kicking?

  • Bedstysifu:

You just don’t understand. This is the famous crane style of Hung boxing. It has many uses. Find a teacher and ask him.

  • jeffdoeskungfu:

    Hey, what’s this song?

  • Bedstysifu:
