Taekwondo, the Definitive Martial Arts

I decided to learn Taekwondo with my friend. I wondered what martial art is good for me. My friend recommended Taekwondo to me. So I saw several videos regarding Taekwondo on Youtube. It looked so aggressive and active sport. As you know, there are many interesting and different Asian martial arts(Korean’s Taekwondo, Japan’s Judo, China’s Kungfu etc) and the number of people who learn it is increasing. I don’t know why people are crazy about doing martial arts even they get hurt on their whole body but whenever I see my friend doing Taekwondo hard, I feel how much those sports can make people concentrated and move faster and agilely. I hope that I can do this for a long time and get motivated to change myself.

JAPANESE MINISTRY OF SELF-DEFENSE SHOWS OFF FLYING SPHERE ROBOT

Check out www.oursecrethouse.com for Knowledge. World. Illuminati. New World Order! Follow us on Twitter! twitter.com Add us on Facebook for updates!: www.facebook.com ———————————————————– Researchers working with the Japanese Ministry of Self-Defense have created what they claim is the worlds first completely spherical flying robot. The robot, which has roughly the same dimensions as a soccer ball, is able to travel at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour, or hover in the general area of a stable spot such as a hallway. If the robot is tumbled to the ground, or swatted by someone with wants to toy with it, the bot will roll to absorb the impact and prevent as much damage as possible. This same trick works on other surfaces, should the robot bounce into walls, fixtures on the walls or anyone who happens to be in the room. Though, at this stage the robot cannot apologize for this breach of etiquette, which in Japan is an important detail.

Naming a martial arts club?

Hello, first question, here it goes.

I am debating how to name my martial arts club and would like some opinions on the thinking behind it.

I am a third degree black belt in both taekwondo and judo and intend to implement the teaching of both alongside each other, rather than seperately within the same club, my problem is:

The same instructor teaching more than one style at a club is something that often comes up here as a flag of a mcdojo but I can not think of a legitimate way of naming what I am teaching as an individual style.

Seeing as both in essence are modern traditional style martial arts with origins in Japan, where both would have been taught in line with something matching the other, I don’t personaly have a problem with using a japanese name and teaching them as one thing, so long as it does not claim a direct lineage as such. I do however see many people having an issue with it and being potential fuel for flaming from those who do not know me or my club.

Discuss, advise and suggest as needed, I want the opinions even if they are don’t do it.

*edit – I already teach both at different clubs and have done for several years, I have also specifically saught tuition and advice from instructors in other styles regarding how to mesh the two together and fill in gaps.

Japanese Martial Arts Demo in Tokyo

Nov 3rd is Culture Day in Japan. Lots of places put on some kind of traditional events and demonstrations ———————————- As to the music – I know it’s bloody chinese kung-fu fighting! Enough with the useless commentary already! I picked the song because it has a fun-spirit and a dance-like quality that matches the movement of the participants. Difference of Martial arts between club and martial arts school?

I practice a special type of kungfu at a club and it consists of 6 people… I just wonder… People can get their black belts at a Karate or Kung fu club by just coming once a week and they get their black belts in just 4-6 years… People at the Shaolin or Kung fu temples/ schools practice everyday instead of just a few times a week and yet they take the same amount of time or even longer to get a high rank… Is it diffrent in what they teach in a kungfu school in China and a Kungfu club in your local town… Or in a Karate temple in Japan and a local Karate club?
Edit…
The question is whether there is difference in students quality in a club and a school…
