Question for Taekwondo Practicioners ???
I will be participating in several Taekwondo tournaments this year which will be mostly sparring. Even if you know how to block, is there still a 50/50 chance of receiving a knockout kick to the head ??? Even when wearing headgear equipment, can a kick to the head cause a significant amount brain swelling or even worse hemorraging, depending on how hard the kick was ???

Why are punches to the head forbidden?
I was just wondering why WTF (World Taekwondo Federation) sparring says "no" to me connecting my fist with my opponent’s head. It can’t be because its damaging to the brain can it? We already wear helmets and kicks to the head (which is almost instant knockout) is allowed. So what is the reason?
Not trying to diss taekwondo or anything, I practise taekwondo too. Just curious!
Thanks
P.S. 10 points for best answer~
Hadyn Wiseman Martial Arts Tricking 2010
My summer 2010 tricking sampler! I have been tricking for 5 years now. Just before summer 2009 I had injuries preventing me from making a sampler in 2009. This is my tricking progress since then. I’ve been training harder than ever for this and I hope it shows in the video. Right now I feel like I’ll be doing this until I’m unable to walk. Tricking is pretty much my life. The songs are (in order): Tyler Bates – Returns a King (from the 300 soundtrack) Bullet for my Valentine – Hand of Blood Sum41 – Angels With Dirty Faces Enjoy and please subscribe, I have a lot planned for the future.
Ramadan: Is it a sin to join a Mix Martial arts club?
I am 16 years old and I am a religious Muslim Alhamdulliah. I recently joined a Mixed Martial Arts club in Toronto Canada. I was wondering if it is Haram. MMA is basically like boxing, but the difference is that in MMA we can add other martial arts, like Taekwondo, Karate, Kung Fu, Wushu, Judu, Muay Thai, and other arts.
I was wondering if it is haram because this game is some kind of violent, we do not wear helmets, we can punch, kick to the face or the body. We can even knockout by a punch or make the opponent pass out for 2 minutes or less by chocking unless he taps out. But in MMA players should respect the other players, we do not hate each other. But in this sport the more violent the player is the better he is.
Is it haram? I mean, Mike Tyson and Muhammed Ali are both Muslims and they are one of the most violent boxers the history have witnessed.
Top 10 Martial Arts Movies
This list is something that I’ve considered and thought about for quite some time. The films included made the list not only because they feature breathtaking fight scenes or a lot of them, but also because they’re well directed and scripted. The acting too, had to be good, and the story. So that’s why you won’t see a single film starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. A few of the films included are just great cinematic achievements, like my number one choice. – Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) – Drunken Master II (1994) – Enter The Dragon (1973) – Fist Of Fury (1972) – Fong Sai-Yuk (1993) – Hero (2002) – Iron Monkey (1993) – Once Upon A Time In China (1991) – Project A (1983) – Wing Chun (1994)
